Essential Functions

  1. Manage daily operation of food truck
  2. Oversee all staff to maintain highest standards of quality, cleanliness and professionalism 
  3. Work on the truck to lead events / cook when needed 
  4. Manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate staffing for events
  5. Manage inbound event requests, negotiations and contract process
  6. Oversee charitable works to ensure we are feeding the poor regularly
  7. Research new spots and events where we can take the trick to expand services & scheduling
  8. Manage the kitchen and staff to ensure consistent flow of service for events
  9. Ensure that all kitchen staff adhere to company systems, processes and procedures at all times
  10. Respectfully provide correction to staff when necessary.
  11. Help to provide instruction, training and guidance for all staff. Be a mentor, not just a boss
  12. Participate in scheduled volunteer opportunities to give back to the community (1 – 2 hours per week)
  13. Consistently and quickly respond to all communication from Company team members.
  14. Have flexibility for travel to/from events when necessary (travel expenses paid by company)
  15. Oversee inventory
  16. Other responsibilities as needed

 

Qualifications: 

  • Have a MISSIONARY HEART. Understand and be excited about our mission and the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of those we serve
  • 2 – 3 years management experience in a restaurant environment
  • Drivers License in good standing required
  • ServSafe Food Manager certified, or willing to get ServSafe Food Manager certification withing 4 – 8 weeks of job start
  • Stable living situation within the Baltimore metro area
  • Reliable transportation to/from commissary and events within the greater Baltimore area (preferably your own car)
  • Maintain a professional and respectful attitude at all times
  • Maintain a stable, drug and alcohol free living environment with healthy relationships throughout the internship. Interns will be subject to random or periodic drug testing as directed.
  • Desire to grow personally and professionally
  • Ability to hear constructive criticism / correction and take direction without reacting negatively or getting defensive
  • Clear communication skills and willing to be open and transparent with management about situations that arise
  • Willing to work within established company systems at all times
  • Ability to pass basic security clearance for government events (need proper ID)

 

Compensation: $18 - $22 / hr based on experience and growth potential
